Paco Rabanne AW19

Inspired by David Lynch's masterpiece, Mulholland Drive, creative director Julien Dossena created a collection encapsulating old Hollywood glamour with an eclectic mix of 1970s glam rock. Royal blue sequined trousers, buoyant floral dresses in plush pink silk, and opulent diamond broaches and necklaces graced the Parisian runway this evening. Heirloom gowns encrusted with crystals with slightly padded shoulders and sculpted waists brought us back to the splendor of the 1950s. Each look was a statement in its own. A metallic lavender vest with jeweled broach buttons was paired with a cheetah print blazer. A velvet military jacket turned heads as a metal chained purse clung by its sides. A zebra sweater paired with a checkerboard suit and holographic pink pants. A Victorian styled blouse with a slit down the middle was worn with an iridescent mermaid green skirt pieced together with translucent sequin coins. Black studded evening wear and jewelry box treasures reflected the stage lights with a dazzling glimmer. Hollywood never looked so charming until it met Paco Rabanne.
