Alice Archer AW 2019 Presentation
While designer, Alice Archer, was designing her fall collection, she was far along in her pregnancy. Because of this, she drew inspiration from the works of Lucas Cranach the Elder, a Germain Renaissance painter and printmaker. He liked to paint religious subjects and scenes of fertility in life and in landscapes. The models wore dresses with feminine silhouettes and floral embedded prints heralding her romance motif. Archer used velvet and satin textiles to frame each woman's body perfectly. The highlight of this collection was a structured, burgundy blazer with hawthorn berries and floral embroidery cascading down the torso.
