Milan Fashion Week AW19 Recap Day 1

Gucci

Gold strobe lights pulsated as the each model sported fur lined coats, black bondage masks, and dreamy water colored prints. Alessandro Michele is a creative genius who transformed Gucci into the worldwide success it is today. This fall collection boasted distinct individuality with assorted prints,  leather spiked collars, and even kneepads. We'll definitely see these vibrant and youthful looks all over the streets next autumn!

Brunello Cucinelli

Cucinelli's luxurious fall collection included minimalist layers of cashmere knits and shearling sweaters showing the designers skill creating effortlessly beautiful looks. There's something inherently breathtaking about the simplicity and refinement of a collection like his.

Max Mara

A fresh take on tonal dressing at Max Mara today. Timeless pieces paired with their signature oversized camel coats made their way down the runway. Creative director, Ian Griffiths, succeeds in defining a distinctive, charming lifestyle rooted in classic elegance.

Emporio Armani

Models were all glammed up in 70s styled flared pants, burnt orange blazers, and fitted navy bomber vests. Striking gold rings and stylish Armani handbags accentuated their ensemble for a maximum dramatic effect. The show closed with a stunning selection of scarlet evening wear perfect for cocktails and canapé overlooking an Italian piazza.

Fendi

Karl Lagerfeld's final Fendi runway was somber and commemorative of his 54 years at the fashion house, working there since 1965. As the models walked out in oversized white bows tied around their collars, a mix of masculine and feminine structured silhouettes, and black tulle skirts, the words "Love Karl" were looming on the creme pale backdrop. It was a truly beautiful collection honoring a remarkable fashion visionary and icon.

Prada

Miuccia Prada's collection showed an exquisite juxtaposition of dreamy romanticism and utilitarian edginess through each ensemble. Lace and florals paralleled the structured, masculine tailoring of the garments. Prada explored the creative sphere of opposition and the dichotomy of good and bad was beautiful portrayed in her new collection.
