Elie Saab Spring Couture 2021
Elie Saab Spring Couture 2021
Nobody does spring couture like Lebanese designer, Elie Saab. Still recovering from the Beirut explosion in his hometown, he created a spectacular collection of evening gowns, with intricate beadwork and tiers of tulle, feathers, and lace. The line featured dark, regal dresses, echoing the exquisite costumes from the Black Swan. Raised feathers, resembling wings, sprouted from the necklines of the gowns and furry boas accessorized sheer, embroidered slips. Ghostly white, beaded dresses floated through the runway fog with unearthly elegance. The show closed with a bridal inspired sequence, the models' hair adorned with glittery, embellished veils. The entire collection was a sartorial fairytale, a lavish escape from the un-decadent times.
