In honor of Andre Leon Talley's imperial work in the fashion industry, I've composed a piece showcasing some of his most iconic fashion moments throughout the decades.

In addition to being Anna Wintour's right hand man as editor-at-large at Vogue US, Andre Leon Talley was an American journalist, creative director, and stylist. Talley was fascinated by the fashion world from an early age after finding his first Vogue at the age of nine. He graduated from North Carolina Central University with a degree in French literature which he hoped he could apply to a future in fashion. Post graduation, he apprenticed with Vogue editor, Diana Vreeland, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. He then began working closely with Andy Warhol for Interview Magazine. Since then, he has taken the industry by storm. He became the Paris bureau chief for Women's Wear Daily, worked with W Magazine, and the New York Times. In 1983, Talley became the fashion new director at Vogue US. He's written best seller books, was on the judging panel for America's Next Top Model, and has even assisted the Obama family on fashion. Andre Leon Talley made great waves for the fashion industry and will be deeply missed. Following his death from Covid 19, Anna Wintour released a heartfelt statement I think we all can sympathize with: "The loss of André is felt by so many of us today: the designers he enthusiastically cheered on every season, and who loved him for it; the generations he inspired to work in the industry, seeing a figure who broke boundaries while never forgetting where he started from; those who knew fashion, and Vogue, simply because of him".
