Burberry Spring Summer 2022
Burberry Spring Summer 2022
Riccardo Tisci designed Burberry's SS22 collection in honor of his mother who passed away this past August. The models wore headpieces resembling Bambi's ears, drooping in despair. This season, Tisci evolved Burberry's traditionalist, elegant pieces making it new and relevant for the women of today. Neutrals were mixed with primary colors and the classic trench was deconstructed with a new composition and decorated with abstract art. A geometric pattern resembling Rorschach inkblot test enhanced the face of maxi dresses, coats, capes, and hoodies. Aligning with the trends and the Gen Z demographic, Tisci created "sexy" looks with bustiers, mesh tops, fitted pants with circular cut outs down the side, and lots of skin. “Now it feels like women are being sexy again. Sex is an expression; a language that is very strong. And this collection is very confident," Tisci noted in reference to women's fashion post-pandemic. Burberry's spring summer 2022 line was a modern interpretation of the brand's classic heritage.
