Badgley Mischka FW20

This season's highlight was Badgley Mischka's fall winter show at Spring Studios in Soho, Manhattan. From the star studded front row to the spectacular collection, it was all a sight to see.

I was seated beside beautiful American Gothic singer, Julie Mintz, who looked like a real life princess in a floral pastel gown by the designer. As the models began to float past us, we couldn't stop glancing over at each other in awe of the collection.

The collection was inspired by the English show, Downton Abbey and the height of The Beatles era. The dresses featured oversized bows, plunging necklines, stunning sequined bodices, and delicate feathers cascading down layers of tulle skirts.

Edwardian collars and bishop sleeves brought a sense of nostalgia to the a-line silhouettes, while the crystal embellishments and diamond encrusted accessories evoked the decadence of British royalty. Badgley Mischka's runway was uniquely exceptional for me because of the English motifs. It was like Mischka's spin on the Crown Jewels in the Tower of London.
