Barbour LFWM Autumn Winter 2019
Barbour launched his 125th anniversary collection at the illustrious Lancaster House in the center of London this weekend. As guests filled the main entrance hall taking in the mansion's opulent Victorian architecture, short film showcasing the brand's distinguished history throughout the decades was projected on a screen parting the grand staircase.
Cocktail in hand, the guests continued to walk down memory lane, following a maze of photos and excepts recounting the events and figures who attributed to hitting this milestone. After making their way through the photographic timeline, the room opened up for photographers and editors to take in the new collection.
The models stood as the forefront to the grandiose golden walls adorned with paintings from the 17th century behind them.
The urbane and countryside streetwear as well as the striking motorcycle jackets juxtaposed the luxurious banquet hall serving to heighten the collection's edgy side.
Every pair of models wore outerwear from one of their time-honored labels and stood on different podiums at each corner of the room. In celebration of their 125th anniversary, they designed a limited edition collection featuring their iconic jackets with a contemporary twist. Some had hand warmers in the pockets, others with removable layers to accommodate every season. It was truly a remarkable season.
Barbour has a way of combining refined art, wonderful fabrics, and classic silhouettes creating the the most upscale way to end London Mens Fashion Week.
